Below you will find some samples of my writing. My goal as a writer is to create original, character-driven content. I specialize in the genre of "Magical Realism" and I am always looking to do commission work, particularly to create personalized reel content. At this time, I am seeking a literary agent.

Jeremy and Caleb are ghosts who cannot be seen nor heard by Lisa, Abby, or Tori.

LISA. I don’t know... Something feels weird about this house. Like it’s not completely... empty. (For a moment, Lisa looks directly where Jeremy is standing.)
ABBY. Don’t say that!
CALEB. Okay, seriously, what is going on?
JEREMY. That is Lisa Campbell. (Jeremy walks up to her and studies her face closely.)
CALEB. One of your three friends? She’s cute.
JEREMY. (Swooning:) Yeah.
TORI. Hey Lisa, didn’t you know one of the guys that lived here? Jared?
LISA. Jeremy... I didn’t know him very well.
CALEB. Ooh... ouch.
JEREMY. Wait, what?
TORI. Wanna get to know him better? (Tori waves the ouija board at Lisa.)
JEREMY. We sat next to each other all through fifth grade!
ABBY. Didn’t he have a brother... Caleb? Caleb was hot.
CALEB. Nice!
JEREMY. I gave you my Gogurt every day! How do you not remember me?
TORI. (To Abby:) Maybe you can talk to Caleb then?
ABBY. I’m not touching that thing!!
LISA. Isn’t it kind of in poor taste? I mean they just died last-- (Lisa moves and walks directly into Jeremy. He falls to the ground instantly and she continues moving forward, but she’s thrown off.) Whoa.
TORI. What? (Jeremy starts writhing around on the ground, clearly in discomfort.)
CALEB. What??
LISA. I just got that feeling... Like I just walked through someone... It was so weird. I don’t know, has that ever happened to you?
TORI. Totally.
ABBY. (Overlapping:) Umm, no!
CALEB. Are you alright!?
JEREMY. That. (Pause.) WAS THE STRANGEST FEELING IN THE WORLD.
CALEB. Like good strange or--
JEREMY. BAD STRANGE. BAD STRANGE.

Photo by Ron St. Jean Photography. "Suburban Spirit World" performed at UNH in the Fall of 2019.
Suburban Spirit World currently exists in two formats: the "junior" version is censored to be appropriate for a high school audience, while the regular version is a bit more... adventurous (in terms of language). Choose wisely.

Behind Enemy Lines follows Charles and Beverly, two young siblings living in Levittown, NY during the Cold War Era. Charles, eager to serve his country, decides to dig a hole in his backyard. Beverly, wanting to help her big brother and looking for something to do, joins him.
***
INT. HOLE - DAY
Charles and Beverly have made a lot of progress in their digging. Both of the kids are exhausted and muddy. They are deep in the earth, surrounded by dirt walls, and the top of the hole is no longer visible from where they are. They have created an intricate pulley system with the rope and bucket as a way to dispose of the dirt. Beverly takes a break, sitting on the ground and playing with a flashlight. Charles determinedly continues to dig further into the ground.
BEVERLY. It’s dark down here. (Charles ignores her and keeps digging.) Why do you wanna dig this hole in the first place? (Beverly waits for Charles to say something. He doesn’t.) Father’s gonna kill you for messing up the yard. (Still no response.) I’m hungry.
CHARLES. You can go back up then.
Beverly look up to search for the top of the hole. She can’t see it.
BEVERLY. You’re not gonna come with me?
CHARLES. I gotta finish this hole.
BEVERLY. How will you know when it’s finished?
CHARLES. When I get there.
BEVERLY. Where’s there?
CHARLES. Russia.
BEVERLY. Oh. What’s Russia?
CHARLES. It’s where the enemy lives.
BEVERLY. Oh. (Beat.) So why do you wanna go there?
CHARLES. Someone’s gotta defend our country.
BEVERLY. You’re gonna fight the Russians?
CHARLES. Yeah.
BEVERLY. By yourself?
CHARLES. Well, I guess you’ll be there too.
BEVERLY. Do you have a plan?
CHARLES. (Pause.) I don’t need a plan, I got the element of surprise.
BEVERLY. Sounds dangerous.
CHARLES. It probably is.
Beverly looks up at the hole again, squinting, desperately trying to see where it ends.
BEVERLY. I should probably stay to protect you then.
CHARLES. (Sarcastically.) Thanks.
